Enhanced Home Support Website

We are very pleased to announce the launch of a major enhancement for our Home support site that we've been working on over the past year! Parents will now have access to our proprietary audio vocabulary home support site featuring vocabulary in 10 categories such as body parts, animals, etc. There are pictures of the vocabulary, audio files with the Mandarin pronunciation, as well as stroke order animation, and sentences being read using the vocabulary. Our intention was to create a tool that non-Mandarin speaking parents could use with their children to reinforce their learning. Usage of this website is limited to current parents, however. Please click here to go to the home support site.

On-line Support for Current students
We have purchased a school license for the online versions of “My First Chinese Reader" and "My First Chinese Workbook” textbooks available to all who have the hardcopy texts. Check the parent newsletter for updated usernames and passwords.

Our Mission

Bilingual Buds is a unique Mandarin Chinese immersion school for children ages 1-10. We provide children with an opportunity to develop proficiency in Chinese language and literacy, while developing the "whole child" in a child-centered environment. Our mission is to prepare our children to be global citizens who are intellectually curious, culturally aware and linguistically capable. The need for our children to be able to understand and communicate with other cultures will be ever greater in the years to come. We believe that helping a child become bilingual is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give.

Family Support

We strive to support the parents in their efforts to help their child become bilingual. To this end we provide newsletters, parent education sessions and recommendations of home support materials. Many of our families do not speak Chinese at home and thus, find this support invaluable.
